The Chateau St.Havel **** Hotel & Golf Resort is a newly opened hotel (opening in April 2006) situated in a reconstructed neo-gothic castle. It is located in Prague 4 - Krc, approx. 20 minutes by public transport from the historical centre (we offer free transfer to underground station Budejovicka).
It is easily reachable by car, because it is located nearby the slip-road Jizni spojka (South connection)  connecting the motorway D1 from Brno with the Strakonicka highway to South Bohemia.The castle was built on a basis of former fortress, the oldest reference about it was from 1273. In 1420 the fortress was won by the Hussites under Jan Zizka. King Ferdinand II donated Krc Castle to the Order of Shod Carmelites in 1627. Under their patronizing a summer residence was built in a beautiful countryside. In 1840-1860 the Castle belonged to Viennese baron Schlosser. Contemporary features and neo-gothic facades were added to the castle. The castle together with a pond and a park in English style (in reconstruction) creates an unique urban ensemble. |

Our speciality is the Golf Aqua driving range, which is the first in the Czech republic and is located on our pond, where are installed four small greens in different distances. In the future we plan to build a nine hole pitch & putt golf course in the Castle park. |
