Melantrich Apartments are located directly on the Wenceslas Square next to all monuments and sights. Around the Wenceslas Square you will discover a variety of shops, restaurants, bars and cinemas, amongst them some of the Czech Republic's most exclusive. The area is also the centre of the capital's cultural life with a host of displays, exhibitions, shows and musical events happening at any one time. Because of its ideal location - in the middle of where everything of importance happens - it is eminently suitable for all categories of visitors, be it businessmen, tourists or families with children.
The hotel building formerly called Melantrich has a 85-year tradition and is famous for what is known as Velvet Revolution - crucial break events in Czech history in November 1989. All major prominents - Vaclav Havel, Vaclav Klaus and Alexander Dubcek firstly delivered speech to scores of people from balcony of this building. It was completely renovated to an apartment hotel, which was opened on July 2004.
