The pensions U Matesa & Labyrint are located in seven connected houses in two groups in the street Rybarska, one of the oldest streets in Cesky Krumlov, which forms the embankment of the river Vltava. The historical main square is just accross the river (about 300 metres) and the Castle is also 300 metres from both pensions.
There is a wonderful view of the Chateau with its tower, Plastovy (Coated) Bridge and Church of St.Vitus from the pensions U Matesa & Labyrint. The pensions have its own parking lot, garden restaurant, wine cellar and a medieval pub.

The house in which the pension U Matesa is situated was built in the 16th century. The name “Mates" has been used since 1585 when the weaver Mates Rosenberg moved in. The last reconstruction of all houses was completed in spring 2003.
The house in which the pension Labyrint is situated was also built in the 16th century. The first tenant mentioned in the annals was Adalbert Bartlweber who bought this house connected with the house in Rybarska street No.12 in 1783.

We offer accommodation in 21 comfortable rooms & suites. Each room has its own bathroom with WC, view of the river Vltava and panorama of Cesky Krumlov. All rooms have TV SAT and the rooms in Pension Labyrint have also Wi-Fi internet access. 14 rooms are equipped with minibar and 5 larger suites have a fully equipped kitchenette. A rich buffet breakfast is included in room prices.

  • 2 suites for 3-4 persons (double bed + single bed + folding couch)

In the medieval pub you can enjoy delicious Czech cuisine and excellent Pilsner beer. There is friendly atmosphere here and we do care about our guests and their satisfaction.
The pub seats 25 guests, there is also a terrace restaurant under parasols within a walled annex which can seat another 60 people, and a front garden restaurant with 18 seats.
A breakfast room with 25 seats inside and 18 outside is located in Pension Labyrint.

We can arrange for you renting rafts, canoes, kayaks, boat bags, life jackets, mountain bikes and other sports equipment.
This year’s hit is the sightseeing cruise on wooden raft around Cesky Krumlov.
For advanced as well as beginners a top quality horse riding club is at disposal at the edge of Cesky Krumlov.
More demanding clients can have a look of Cesky Krumlov from a bird view in a hot-air balloon.
Guests can enjoy the guided tour of the Chateau, graphite mines or visit of Egon Shiele Art Centrum.
