| Erste schriftliche Notizen über das Haus stammen aus 1372 - erster Besitzer war der Majordomus
der Prager Burg. Die späteren Besitzer - zum Beispiel
Diener des böhmischen Königs, Ordensvorsteher sowie einflussreiche Bürger - machten das Gebäude zu einem Prunkhaus. 1723-32- unter dem Besitz des königlichen Kanzlers Baltazar Knapp - wurde das Haus gründlich und komplett rekonsruiert. Aus dieser Zeit stammt heutige Gestalt des Hauses. Die moderne Rekonstruktion (Mai 2000) hat nicht originale architektonische Elemente ausgeschlossen, sondern vielmehr perfekt die moderne luxuriöse Ausstattung als auch das klassische Umfeld miteinbezieht. 270 Jahre alte prachtvolle Stiege findet man neben dem Lift an, originaler ornamentaler Deckenverputz in den modernsten Bädern. Das zeitgenössische Stilmobilar aus Holz ruft die historische Atmosphäre des Hauses hervor, die komplette Möbelausstattung wurde unlängst mit dem technischen Wachs gepflegt. |
