The Residence U cerneho orla / At The Black Eagle is situated in the very heart of the Prague historic centre. It is located in the middle of Mostecka Street, which since time immemorial has been a main thoroughfare of the Lesser Town - the ancient Royal Route, the way the coronation processions of the Bohemian kings used to follow to Prague Castle. It’s only a few steps from the renowned Charles Bridge, Lesser Quarter- and Old Town Squares or Prague Castle with its gothic St. Vitus Cathedral. The residence is surrounded by historical sites, beautiful palace gardens, peaceful parks and cozy pubs and cafés with an unforgettable atmosphere.

Since ancient times this house has been called At The Black Eagle. According to the renowned Tomek's topography, in the 14th century there used to stand a palace of Mainz archbishop Ludwig. As an old legend says on one of his trips to the Prague royal court, warriors from his entourage found deep in the Bavarian woods an eagle with its talon stuck in a crevasse of a rock formation. They helped to free it and as recorded in the ancient chronicle whenever they traveled through border forests, a dark silhouette of this bird of prey always appeared above their heads as if to say thank you.

The hotel is composed of 11 double rooms and a spacious attic suite with a unique view of the surrounding historical sites, some with the option of an extra bed or a cot. The hotel provides free WI-FI and complimentary use of its notebook located on the 1st floor. Rooms are divided into the following two categories:
Standard double room - 4 cozy double rooms with a view of a picturesque hotel atrium will be the perfect place to rest between your trips to the many renowned Prague sites. Appointed with elegant oak furniture, their historic décor enhances the atmosphere of a Lesser Quarter house of the old times. Each room is equipped with an LCD SAT TV, DVD player, safe and a bathroom with a shower, water-closet, hair dryer, gown and slippers. We are pleased to provide complimentary bottled mineral water and fresh fruit upon your arrival.

Deluxe double room - 7 comfortable double rooms with a view of the picturesque bourgeois buildings of the Mostecká Street with one window facing the peaceful hotel atrium. The historic authenticity of the rooms located on the 3rd floor is enhanced by original ceiling paintings. Rooms are equipped with a bathroom with a shower or a bath-tub, water-closet, hair dryer, gown and slippers. They also have original massif furniture, LCD satellite TV, DVD player and a personal safe. Some rooms have minibars and some can accommodate a rollaway bed. We are pleased to provide complimentary bottled mineral water and fresh fruit upon your arrival.

Attic Suite - this luxurious attic suite with a unique setting spanning 100 m2 is equipped with air-conditioning. Its own balcony provides an unsurpassed view of the Petrin Hill, St. Nicholas Church and other nearby sites. It boasts a leather sofa with a side table, large double bed, dining table and a fully equipped kitchen (stove, fridge, toaster, kettle and table-ware). Apart from a large LCD satellite TV and a DVD player, the suite has a hi-fi system and a cordless phone. The bathroom has a bathtub and a water-closet.

Some rooms are equipped with minibars, from other rooms drinks can be ordered at the reception, which is available to our guests 7 am to 7 pm. The reception also provides you with your favorite DVDs and basic toiletries. Enjoy the services of our attentive employees, who will arrange your transportation and city or outside the city sightseeing tours. The hotel provides free WI-FI and complimentary use of its notebook located on the 1st floor.

The stylish hotel restaurant with a wine bar is located on premises with historic vaults and rich decors and serves traditional Czech and international cuisine with a wide offer of Czech and international quality wines. This perfect place for an encounter with history is open 11 am to 11.30 pm. Hotel guests automatically receive a 30% discount. Breakfasts included in the accommodation price are served a la carte 7-11 am weekdays and 8-11 am weekends. You may delight in breakfasts and dishes from the menu directly in your room. Room service is available daily 7 am to 10 pm.
